Please preorder your copies of Little Pearly’s Hope now.

Little Pearly’s Hope second printing will be available for delivery Jan. 27th!

I hope your new year has been going well. As for my family, we are
doing ok although there has been no construction work since mid-December. We
will have, (hopefully) perfect copies of  Little Pearly’s Hope available for
purchase by this Friday.

The first printing of Little Pearly’s Hope was completed two days
before Christmas but all 1000 copies contained a costly misprint. The first
printing of 1000 copies of Little Pearly’s Hope were found to contain an
error on an inside page which went unnoticed by the plate-maker. These books
were deemed unacceptable by the printer and were about to be destroyed. I
pleaded with the printer not to destroy them because the message of the
story was still intact and I felt that these books could still benefit
children in need. I devised and designed a label that would cover the
printer’s printed name and the printer conditionally agreed, and released
the books to me. I have since distributed quite a number of these
‘not-for-sale misprints’ to Dell Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House,
Texas School  for the Deaf, several local preschools, elementary schools,
and libraries. With all of that said I am tapped out and need to raise funds
to continue this grassroots marketing/distribution campaign. I need work,
but I feel that this labor of love is my work. I can only do so much by
myself.

Please contact me about your copy requests, if you can please
spread the word and help raise awareness by sharing the book availability
with others who might have children or grandchildren, I and my family and
the future reader/students of Little Pearly’s Hope will appreciate it so
much.

Work available for an important cause.

Thanks to everyone who has helped collaborate the message in Little Pearly’s Hope thus far. The hard work is yet ahead, to elaborate, and e-laborate via the medium we all have at our fingertips, the keyboard and the pen. The book is done but the true work has begun to get this collaborative message of hope into the hands of the young.
I have literally sold all of my gold to get this pearl to the children of this world. I need your clout to get this book out. If anyone has a way to contribute to this most important cause, either momentarily share with our contacts and resources, monetarily contribute, order a copy and get it to some deserving child, voluntarily help distribute, You ARE Little Pearly’s PR. I can no longer do this part ‘on my own’, but I will die doing everything that I can towards this mission for the children of our land.
I am not one to ask for help because I have had my own resources put into this effort. You all are my ‘only’ resource besides my writing hand. Thanks again and your reward is at hand……

Little Pearly’s Hope Concept (Part 2)

After the story and message I decided to add a little history with the mystery, and also a bit of reinforcement to the message.

I felt that a bit of educational information to accompany the message of inspiration would help provide the young readers with something that they could have to further enlighten them and refer to in the future. I had adults comment, “I did not know that.”, or “This is interesting.”

The last section at the back of the book has Pearls of Wisdom which are quotes from contributors or local folks or businesses who have a message of their own to reinforce the message of the story. They may have chosen to adopt an already famous quote that conveyed their voice of support and encouragement to the young readers and that was printed in this section.

The Author’s Concept Behind Little Pearly’s Hope Project

My plans for the book are multifaceted. My first editions are for the local youngsters where the need is greatest. Those with special needs who may be in hospitals, schools, and other institutions starting here in the Austin area. Just as the pearl story goes, and like a pearl grows, (starting with its nucleus), it will grow to find its destined readership throughout the world in its due time. I will try to let the handmaiden of destiny lead as I follow, walking in the truth that I know and discover. I wish to maintain the standard of excellence wherein family, friends and neighbors reinforce the foundation upon which a greater community structure can be built.
Little Pearly’s Hope, (as you may have noticed) has a section in the back of the book wherein community support and encouragement help reinforce the message of hope in this book. I and others will perform story-time reading with interactive teaching using locally remixed musical theme songs to encourage ‘retainage’ of the content. I plan to gift these books and CD’s via local contributor support to these youngsters. I also have Pearly-Hopestone keepsakes and Little Pearly cards to be a visual reminder for the shelves of those who have limited mobility. My plans are also for Spanish translations and even braille translations, etc.

This book will transcend ‘industry standards’ in every way possible from production to distribution. Local printings and non-industry standard sizing, etc., this is meant not to be a ’cookie-cutter’ children’s book/series. Most big publishing houses, in my opinion, do little justice for authors and their readers in the way they operate as it is most always about sales, commercialism and consumer manipulation. I don’t see how China should be involved in stealing our industrial strengths and cheapening Americans. I do not find the ‘Barnes and Noble’ book shelves a noble way to go.
As you know, education along with inspiration are necessary together to be most effective in the best assimilation of information. For the story and the succeeding stories that I have written I attempt to do this while tying in the old with the new and the new with the old. (If we lose our connections with our ancient messengers the new messages will quickly lose root and perish.) Many people these days lose their roots and founded connections to their ‘pie in the sky’…virtual ‘un’reality.

So hopefully now you have a few specs of ‘my’ plan and its concept. The plan is very extensive and I can’t go through it all in this limited forum. I wish to avail myself to the opportunities that would proliferate the message(s) of hope in this book and thus the series to come. I have close connections with the fossil Ram’s Horn oysters and have a grand vision to teach of their unshelfish ways and how they analogously mirror the virtues that humanity yet has a chance to salvage collectively. I am at a point where I feel it is time to extend myself and get ready to collaborate with other similar visionaries.
I am open to ideas that I can filter through to help make this vision/plan be what it is meant to be, (I guess that is why I of all people have been given this charge). Feel free to exchange your thoughts and see fit for our communication to continue. Please look at my site(s) and perhaps that will help with clarifications. Call me anytime.

Little Pearly’s Hope Project has two possible theme songs that will be remixed for http://www.LittlePearlysHope.com

I discovered these songs that are just perfect for the site! Local musicians will help me remix the songs for the web and Little Pearly’s Hope audio cd…. an audio version of the story with the theme songs.
‘Pearly Shells’ is all over the web. It is a Hawaiian expressive hula-type dance that my daughter and granddaughter will perform in story-time readings for the children in hospitals, schools and libraries. There are quite a number of well-known musicians, singers and dancers who perform this song.
Another song that really ‘sings’ for Little Pearly’s Hope is ‘Pretty Little Pearly’ an older 50′s composition that is sung by Tere Dene, the Click-Clacks, and Gene Vincent.

Free Little Pearly’s Hope copies for special needs kids

I am offering free copies for any Austin Texas residents whose child might enjoy a positive-message educational children’s book written to inspire and encourage them. Respond to info@LittlePearlysHope.com re: LittlePearlysHope.com. and let me know where to deliver the copy.

Little Pearly’s Hope-first release goes to Dell Children’s Center

Dell Children’s Center was my first stop after I had picked up the books. The book was so well received there. I presented a number of books to the library and I went to their gift shop to leave them a copy. A certain patient named Victoria was there with her mother and I just had to offer a signed book to them. I hope that it is encouraging for them. The surgery waiting area was next where appreciative parents gratefully received Little Pearly’s Hope!  Ronald McDonald House was my next stop where I left several copies with them. Merry Christmas! It was a great feeling to see my book getting out there and into the hands of those who might benefit from the message.www.LittlePearlysHope.com

The books turned out to be all with that same small flaw, BUT…

…I would not let these copies get shredded! Over 1000 copies have the printer’s name and the printer would not want to put out flawed printing with their name on the inside cover. Their platemaker/proofer got fired over this. I almost bought a ‘Misprint’ stamp last night thinking there would be some stamping to do. Now that all of the books are ‘flawed’, that is a lot of stamping so I came up with the idea of making a label saying “this copy gratis due to misprint reserve your copies at LittlePearlysHope.com” and covering the printers name in  the book with it. The idea was very acceptable to them and thereby they were happy to release the books to me, and, they offered to print the labels for free! I will be applying them and I will get all of the copies at no cost! They will serve well as promotional copies! So with the first edition we will make pearls out of this pile of sand!!
