I discovered these songs that are just perfect for the site! Local musicians will help me remix the songs for the web and Little Pearly’s Hope audio cd…. an audio version of the story with the theme songs.
‘Pearly Shells’ is all over the web. It is a Hawaiian expressive hula-type dance that my daughter and granddaughter will perform in story-time readings for the children in hospitals, schools and libraries. There are quite a number of well-known musicians, singers and dancers who perform this song.
Another song that really ‘sings’ for Little Pearly’s Hope is ‘Pretty Little Pearly’ an older 50′s composition that is sung by Tere Dene, the Click-Clacks, and Gene Vincent.

I am offering free copies for any Austin Texas residents whose child might enjoy a positive-message educational children’s book written to inspire and encourage them. Respond to info@LittlePearlysHope.com re: LittlePearlysHope.com. and let me know where to deliver the copy.
Dell Children’s Center was my first stop after I had picked up the books. The book was so well received there. I presented a number of books to the library and I went to their gift shop to leave them a copy. A certain patient named Victoria was there with her mother and I just had to offer a signed book to them. I hope that it is encouraging for them. The surgery waiting area was next where appreciative parents gratefully received Little Pearly’s Hope! Ronald McDonald House was my next stop where I left several copies with them. Merry Christmas! It was a great feeling to see my book getting out there and into the hands of those who might benefit from the message.www.LittlePearlysHope.com
…I would not let these copies get shredded! Over 1000 copies have the printer’s name and the printer would not want to put out flawed printing with their name on the inside cover. Their platemaker/proofer got fired over this. I almost bought a ‘Misprint’ stamp last night thinking there would be some stamping to do. Now that all of the books are ‘flawed’, that is a lot of stamping so I came up with the idea of making a label saying “this copy gratis due to misprint reserve your copies at LittlePearlysHope.com” and covering the printers name in the book with it. The idea was very acceptable to them and thereby they were happy to release the books to me, and, they offered to print the labels for free! I will be applying them and I will get all of the copies at no cost! They will serve well as promotional copies! So with the first edition we will make pearls out of this pile of sand!!
Little Pearly made a pearl out of her dilemma. The first printing had a small printer-pre-press error and is not saleable. The beauty and message of the book is intact. These 1000+ books are going to be free to Austin area contributors and recipients. These ‘misprints’ are going to be salvaged despite the printer’s error
I went to Powell Print where the book was brought from the bindery. Joyce picked out the topmost box to inspect the books. It is remarkably a beautiful book!, however we found a printing error in the 2nd story-page spread. She will find out if the other boxes of books have the same error. Hopefully the misprint was in the overage. It is quite disappointing thinking about the possibility of having to wait another two months for the book because as it is, if it is, I may have only misprints for books available. The book has taken so much time and great expense thus far. I will figure out how to maximize this MISPRINT. At least stamp MISPRINT on the inside cover and give em away! The story’s message is intact, and not affected. We’ll find out today if we indeed have a book available for you.
