Some interesting notes on pearls is that the pearl signifies a renewed life and recovery from adverse circumstances and also can imply a glorified resurrection from a condition warranting death.
It is a fact that of the oysters that produce pearls, only the female oysters can nurture the best pearls. If anyone can tell me why, I will send the first two persons who answer correctly a free Little Pearly’s Hope Book and a free pearly hopestone necklace.

Little Pearly’s Hope by Martin C. Fry
Little Pearly’s Hope, a children’s book for children of all ages, brings a deeply positive message in a uniquely original and colorfully-illustrated presentation. Printed in Austin Texas and printed on beautiful glossy stock with a Fine Pearlescent cover and attached bookmark!
This book is about an ancient ram’s horn oyster named little Pearly who feels frustrated, sad and in pain until she opens up to let her Grandmother Pearl’s shining pearl of wisdom reveal little Pearly’s own beautiful pearl forming. Once little Pearly realizes this, fear and discomfort disappear.
The book is religiously neutral, (partly so that hospitals and other secular places would receive it), but spiritually-rich, as the author, Martin Fry, born-again fellow brother in Christ writes for the reader whose faith may or may not be in place. The pearls of wisdom are hidden deep within this book and it is meant to be read interactively, and then in more than just a single read…. This being said, this may be a seed-pearl that gets planted in that young reader’s heart, or it may be the water that waters the already planted seed.
“My hope is that the reader is inspired, encouraged, enlightened, and connected to family, community and wonders of God’s Creation.
“You see for me, Christ is our Pearl of Great Price, within us all and either shines for others or is hidden within. Only when we open up our shelly hearts can the true light source reveal our pearl and then our pearl can shine to and for others.”
Pearls are a reflection of light and
The Kingdom of Heaven is as the Pearl of Great Price….
(Matthew 13.46.)….so we must seek (open up our hearts) and find Him, (who already found us).
We all know what Heaven’s 12 gates are made of….(Revelation 21.21)…
Now pearls also signify resurrection of the flesh to the spirit-led spiritual- life, and, Little Pearly as I mentioned is a Ram’s Horn Oyster. What biblical significance does the Ram’s Horn have?…look in Genesis 22.13….(Father),Authority, (Son,)Sacrifice, and (Holy Spirit),strength. Also, a Ram’s Horn would be used as an Hebrew Shofar sounding the arrival of the king, the call to battle or the victory of battle.
A new revelation through His creation of our part in Christ, the Ram of great sacrifice, and His new Pearl of resurrection within!
This is what God has revealed to me and so to you. Pearly blessin’s be to you all who have spiritual ears to hear! —in His Name…..Martin Frysigned copies are available at www.littlepearlyshope.com

Unshelfish Oyster Tales’ Ram’s Horn Oyster
Little Pearly’s Hope is the first of a series of Unshelfish Oyster Tales that author Martin Fry wrote and illustrated. Martin, a master mason, who built a number of Austin’s landmark’s like the Shady Grove Restaurant, South Congress Café and The Tuscany restorations, and helped with the Wheatsville Coop green renovations has an interesting connection with the Ram’s Horn oysters. Being a local geology enthusiast he discovered ancient oyster beds while on a fossil dig. These prehistoric organisms profoundly connected with him and he soon started making parallels with the ancient oyster communities and our modern day human ones. Martin felt compelled to write about them, aside from his web publications, and wrote this beautiful children’s book as the perfect forum to do so.
Lo and behold the lowly and common fossil oyster that once inhabited the shallow seas of prehistory, is a specimen largely taken for granted and misunderstood. Its ‘benign’ historical purpose can teach us about community and giving and self-sacrifice for our fellow human, and much more!! How so, you might ask, could this fossilized creature have been so ‘humane’? Well, it ‘gave’ of its very own, (calcium [strength]), to bond with its neighbors. In doing so, it formed very large reef communities that filtered the water by feeding on algae so that bay flora could receive more light to thrive and oxygenate. As a reef community it eased shore erosion by ‘taking on’ the constant onslaught of wave action. The community actually protected each other as well as providing refuge for the helpless organisms and small fish fleeing from their enemies. The reef even provided a home for strange organisms needing shelter and food ‘gathered’ there. The oyster was also a major food source for many diverse creatures of land and sea. Need more be said? Well there is a lot more to be said about this fossil that is mistaken for a snail! This creature could also take the pain of a grain of sand or other foreign object that found its way into its shell and form a beautiful pearl as a result!!! We as men and women know about the awesome beauty of pearls, but the real beauty should be in the ‘work’ that we do for our common-unity and our collective ecosystem. We as thinking, feeling, human beings can learn from the beauty within the lives of these UNSHELFISH fossil oysters whose strength was and is for the good of all! They were preserved for a purpose greater than being merely interesting shelf-specimen. They were preserved also to be observed for their benevolent example to humanity and as an effective tool thereby!
and there is still more for you to see, of and for your own unshelfishness….Go to www.unshelfish.com to learn more of this ancient Ram’s Horn fossil aptly named H.O.P.E Stone and how you and others can benefit with this excellent tool for our lives!

A photo of The Cape of Good Hope Bay: artisinmartin.com background for a reason.
Why the Cape of Good Hope?
The Cape of Good Hope, which is the southernmost tip of the African Continent was so named for a very good reason. It signified new direction in a long journey for ancient mariners in their route around the huge continent. The Cape of Good Hope meant a significant new turning point for the weary travelers of old.
~To get around South Africa a ship had to travel south and mostly sailed against the prevailing winds from the south. Once the ship reached The Cape of Good Hope and the ship turned north, the wind would then favor smooth sailing.
~The bay was significant as a place of rest for weary travelers and the best place to anchor a ship carrying precious cargo.
~~~Imagine sailing the African coastline for many, many days buffeted by winds and wave after wave. You’re seeking that turning point in your voyage and you see the Cape of Good Hope in the distance, your feelings would be celebratory and your energy would be renewed!!, hope realized!
We are all on our life’s journey and that journey has many waves to ‘ride-out’. Our true family and friends weather the storms with us and also celebrate our milestone moments with us. They cheer us onward to and thru that Cape of Good Hope moment in our lives. They help when help is needed and they are able to do so. That encourages us to carry on and see our journey thru.
